Post subject: Guild Charter & Code of Conduct

As Our Name Implies, We Are Serous About Having A Good Time...
We are a group of people who all share one common goal, to have fun playing World of Warcraft. We strive for a “no drama” environment. GDPD is made up mainly of a group of guys that work together, and who have been MMO gaming since the early days of Ultima Online. We have been members of all types of guilds through out 4 different MMORPGs, one thing all those guilds had in common was the drama factor. This time we struck out to create a guild for ourselves and other like minded people to call home. A place where we can be ourselves, with out all the headache, and have a good time doing it. We are small in number now, but are hoping to recruit mature people, for leveling, instancing, PvP, and hopefully one day raiding.

Code of Conduct:

1. Respect the decisions made by Guild Leadership. The leadership will do their best to be impartial in protecting and upholding the original concept of the Guild. If you have a problem, please speak with a founder and keep disputes private. Public questions are fine. You should never publicly call out guild members or leadership for any reason.

2. Respect is first and foremost. Respect all others at all times, whether or not you think they deserve it. Keep your arguments civil, and never personally attack anyone. You are a reflection of your guild anywhere you go.

3. Conflict Resolution

* Keep your cool. Take what happens to you in stride, don’t get excited and throw a tantrum because things didn’t go your way.

* If someone makes a mistake, encourage them to do better and/or offer friendly advice and leadership. Never tear someone apart for making a mistake, no matter how foolish it was. If someone purposely causes a group wipe or something similar, bring it to the attention of Guild Leadership so that it may be dealt with.

* "Praise in Public, Dispute in Private" will be followed at all times. In-Guild disputes will not leak over from the Guild into public forums, in-game or voice chat. If you have a problem with someone, take it to the source first! If that doesn’t work, speak with a founder so that it may be dealt with and resolved.

4. Always remember while tagged "Gnomie Don't Play Dat" you represent everyone of us, not just yourself, we ask that you act in a decent manner whether grouped with all GDPD or in a random pug.

All violations of the guild Code of Conduct will be cumulative and can or will result in that members removal from the guild.

Loot:

Loot will usually be handled in the traditional Need/Greed fashion (need for the character you playing at that moment), unless otherwise agreed on prior to the start of the dungeon.
We have decided to use only Master Looter while in raids, and the rolls will be in three Loot Waves, in order of first Need, and then Upgrade/Off-spec and last Greed.

Just to clarify the differences of these:

Need: You should only roll Need if it is a piece that is your armor level, and an upgrade for your Main talent spec.

Upgrade/ Off-spec: You should only roll Upgrade/ Off-spec if it is a piece that is an upgrade for your Main or Dual talent spec.

Greed: Greed will only be called If the item is a “Bind on Equip”, that has been passed on by everyone in all the above Loot Waves.

Any “Bind on Equip” items that are won must be equipped on the spot. The exception is anything won during the Greed Wave. Anything won under Greed is yours free and clear to do with as you want.

If the item is “Bind on Pick-up” that has been passed on by everyone in all the above Loot Waves the item will be disenchanted(any shards from guild raids will be put in the 4th bank tab).

To be as fair as possible we have a limit on Need wins for each run. One set piece and one non set piece, until everyone has got something.
So for example say “X” drops from a trash mob in Naxx, after combat has stopped, in the raid channel the Master Looter will link the item and then type “roll for need” for the sake of time you will be given a 5 count to decide, if no one rolls, the ML will type:
3
2
1
At that point the need roll is over, and we will repeat this with each Loot Wave.

Guild Bank:

We have 2 tabs open to all members, initiate and above. Take what you need to better your guilded character. Please don't put the bank Items you take out on the AH or give them to non guild characters. Take what you need, leave something for someone else, that is the way a clan grows.

As a member of the "Gnomie Don't Play Dat" you are expected to abide by our simple rules and to follow the Code of Conduct to resolve all disputes and issues.

The community is only as strong as its members and the GDPD leadership will look to each and every member as a vital contributor to ensuring our standards are upheld, both in game and on the forums. Members should be aware that their conduct is a reflection of the guild as a whole. No one person is better then any other, nor is he/she above the guild. We expect mature people to act in a mature manner. We like to have fun. We poke fun at, and play jokes on, each other. But we do it at all times with respect.

As with any organization, there will be times that people don't see eye to eye. Any issues that arise are to be resolved in a respectful and mature manner. Every member is to follow the rules we have set forth and follow the process for issue resolution. No matter what happens remember to "Praise in Public, Dispute in Private." If you can't resolve it, seek assistance from the guild leadership.
We truly believe in a laid back no drama environment. If this is not what you are looking for then feel free to apply elsewhere. If at any time you no longer agree with our philosophy, feel free to use our open exit policy. We are just looking to have a good time and in order to do that we need good mature people with that same philosophy.

In closing we would like to make it clear, this community is about fun, period. You will get as much out of GDPD and its community as you put into it. If your goal is to have a tag, then that is all you will get. If your goal is to meet new people, play some Warcraft, participate in discussions, laugh a little, and most importantly enjoy yourself.....then you will find a family.

Please get in contact with a GDPD Member if you think you would want to join us.
